Accepting and embracing employee turn over




The value a good employee brings to a business eventually plateaus when the employee has less new ideas they can contribute. At that point, the employee will look for challenges of a new role or a new job.
As employees and employers we need to recognise and embrace this cycle so that we can maximise the potential benefits.

This was a very interesting reading. Thanks Cameron for bringing it up. It explained me quite many of my own experiences and observations about why people quitting often.

I've been monitoring number of job listings by big companies and small companies (I will omit names), in our common playground of Open Source and GIS . The former are permanently looking for new employees and the small shops have not published any offer for a year or so. Seems like reasons are related to the explanation above.
